When can My child Enroll?

Students may enroll at any time, space permitting. All new students are given a series of assessment tests and interviews, from which an individualized program is designed. Students move through these programs as rapidly as they are learning and demonstrating competence.

Do you have A program for the gifted student?

Most children, when given the opportunity and a well-prepared environment, will show intense interest and curiosity in a variety of subjects. It might be bugs, how to play the piano, how to read, or how the solar system works.

Whether your child has been designated gifted and talented or not, our programming and low student-to-teacher ratio enables students to manifest high achievement capabilities. Students can go as far as they want, and as fast as they want, so long as they demonstrate understanding and competence in their materials.

What Grades do you Serve?

Our program starts with Kindergarten Prep for children that are as young as 4 years old, as long as they turn 5 by April 1st of that school year. We run through 5th Grade.

What about parents?

We see parent involvement as a critical element in a child's education. In our close-knit, family-oriented community, develop strong bonds with our students and this relationship extends to the whole family. Your active participation with the school in your child’s education is more than important—we view it as essential.

Do you practice any religion?

No. As a secular school, we have families from all religious and cultural backgrounds and celebrate diversity! The foundation laid in your home is by far the strongest basis for your child’s religious growth. We invite you to come and share your celebrations with us in an age-appropriate way.

We recognize value and promote diversity. It is the policy of Laurel Academy that no person shall be subjected to discrimination because of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, creed, marital status, disabled or veteran status, or the presence of any physical, mental, or sensory handicap. We acknowledge and protect the rights of children, families and staff to their own culture and to the customs, beliefs and practices that comprise that culture.

Who are you licensed by?

A portion of our program is licensed for use by Applied Scholastics, an international educational non-profit organization.  It was established by American educators in 1972 to promote and develop programs of effective education for educators, business trainers, tutors, parents, children and any individual who needs improved study skills to enhance their scholastic, business and personal activities.
