LAUREL SCHOOLS TRAVEL POLICY - UPDATED - MARCH 2022

It’s nearly spring break! For all of you travelers, this is the info you have been looking for.

Per the COVID-19 Guidance for Child Care and Early Learning Administrators updated on March 10th and issued by the WA Department of Health, and given the higher risk of exposure to Covid-19 both at your destination and while traveling, especially by air, we are asking families to follow a “test to return” policy.

Test to return steps:

• Everyone must provide a negative test result on Monday, April 18th. We strongly prefer tests not be given on Sunday evening, but rather first thing in the morning unless you are opting for a PCR on Sunday. Email your test results to Jeanne - principal@laurelacademy.org (Elementary) and Agi - admin@llmontessori.org (Preschool)

• Please test AGAIN on Wednesday morning. 

• Masking requirements will remain in place through the end of the week, April 22, 2022. As of this moment, masks will become optional on April 25th unless the state of the community spread in our area is in an obvious upward trend. We are monitoring this daily.

• Attached please find updated if/then Flowcharts to assist in your decision-making whether you are dealing with symptoms, a positive test, or a negative test.

We are very much hoping that everyone has a fantastic break and that we are able to avoid classroom closures upon returning to school.
